Earlier, I wrote about riding on Taiwan's High Speed Rail train. It was quite an experience. Recently, I rode it again, but this time I took video. Check out how it looks like to cruise along at 300km/hr!

Gotta love some of the wacky English you see in Taiwan at times. I, however, was quite suprised to see this glaring error on a sign at one of the of the more up-scale bookstores in Taipei.

I took a trip to Taichung at the end of January on Taiwan's recently opened High Speed Rail (HSR) line. Tickets were being offered at half price just before the official opening of the line and I decided to try it out.  A trip that normally takes around two hours by bus was done in under an hour. Boy, was that fast!

I saw this sign in a park near where I live. Sorry, can't hang your clothes here to dry! People in the West might find a sign like this strange and amusing, but it just goes to show how tight space can be in other places in the world.

The father of a close friend passed away last Sunday (3/11) afternoon. I was invited to visit their house about a month ago, but since I was busy preparing for my trip back to the States, I didn't make time to go. I was planning to visit them last week, not knowing it would be too late to see him again.

I rode my bike to Brazilan Jiu-jitsu practice one fine sunny day in Taipei and I made a little video of the 10-minute trip.
