Waiting to get on subwayThough you are allowed to bring bikes on to the subway cars in Taipei, you can get on and off only at certain stops. Regular bikes are charged a flat rate of NT$80 to bring aboard the subway and that rate also includes the fare to your destination. Folding bikes in carrying bags can be brought on with no charge but since we didn't have any bags on us, we had to pay the NT$80 fare. There were quite a few cyclists waiting in line to purchase tickets to bring their bikes on board.

Folding bikes on the subwayAfter riding the MRT back into Taipei, we headed to the Chiangkaishek Memorial Hall where we saw some sort of costume parade filing off into the streets.

After taking in the amusing scene of the parade, we lead Mark and Byron back to their hotel going down Hsinyi Road. By the time we got to their hotel it was already 6pm. Overall, it was quite a nice day.
