During my bike ride to work, I'm careful to avoid the various cars and busses that pull into my path as I pick my way through traffic. Today, though, I almost had a spill from a least expected source.
As I was pulling away from a stop at an intersection, a hit a fellow cyclist who pulled out right in front of me. The guy that pulled in front of me from the side was riding a road bike and he was going fairly slowly because of the high gearing on his bike. By the time I snapped this photo, though, he had picked up speed and was well on his way. By the next intersection he was out of sight. Up to this day I was pretty much concerned only by squashed by a big bus or clipped by a scooter speeding by. Now, I know that even my fellow cyclist can pose a threat if I'm not careful and paying attention to my surroundings. The cyclist that suddenly pulled in front of me. Watch where ya going, will ya?! |
