Sometimes revelation and inspiration come to you like butterflies flying in a field. You can walk for a long time and not see a single thing when suddenly a multitude of butterflies come fluttering by, each a different size and shape, but all beautiful and unique in their own right.
I usually waste a lot of time thinking about trivial and often inconsequential things. Things that don't add up to much in the bigger scheme of Life. Occassionally, however, a thought, a revelation will break through my usual mental fogginess, like a coloful butterfly dashing into a view of a bleak, dreary landscape. When inspiration or a revelation comes by, be sure to seize the moment for once they flutter away they seldom come back in their original clarity and beauty. A long time can pass withhout seeing one, so when one does happen by, be sure to stop to enjoy it for all its glory, and most importantly, let it guide you along your way. |
