I ate at a McDonald's near my house one day and when I went to put some garbage into the trash bin, I was put into a bit of a quandary. 

Can't you recycle plastic spoons and forks?!

The other trash bin for "recyclable" waste was for only paper-based items like paper bags, paper trays, and paper cups. I think this so-called "recycling" was only for the benefit of those collecting scrap paper to sell to recycling firms. Taipei has a very good recycling collection system where they collect nd recycle things from styrofom to table scraps (to feed to pigs) and there should be no reason why McDonald's is recycling only paper products.

You can only recycle paper stuff?!
