I'm so blue, blue, blue . . . Not as in being depressed, but as in finally getting a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu!

Got an unexpected Christmas present in 2006 just the day before Christmas. Went to BJJ practice on Sunday (12/24), something that I usually don't do, and rolled with the guys. Got a good roll with a bunch of different guys, all in all a nice practice.

Yeah! After a little more than two years, I am now blue! I was hoping to compete in another tournament as a white belt and get a first place title after just barely losing first place in my last competition. Since I'll now  be competing at a higher rank, I'll probably be getting squashed for a long time again. And my old belt had such a nice tint of grey . . . it probably would have turned black in a couple of more months.
